ABOUT
Hollyn Gayle is an AEA actor, singer, and dancer based in New York City. Hollyn received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Illinois University. She is a fierce ingénue, giving characters with naiveté written into them a gritty, intelligent undertone. She's won two Best Actress Awards from Broadway World-St. Louis for her portrayals of Violet in Violet and Celia in As You Like It, both at Ozark Actors Theatre. Hollyn toured China and Bahrain in the international tour of The Wizard of Oz as the Dorothy understudy. The show played 11 cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, over three months.
Favorite professional credits include Little Red in Into the Woods at Dallas Theater Center, Violet in Violet and Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly!, both at Ozark Actors Theatre, and Beverly in Church Basement Ladies at the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza.

RECENTLY

Hollyn recently finished a sold out run as Little Red in Into the Woods at the Tony Award winning Dallas Theater Center. "Hollyn Gayle as the self-absorbed Little Red Riding Hood has a terrific voice and an awesome comic delivery." - DFW Center Stage
Hollyn returned to The Fireside Theatre to understudy the role of Dorothy and perform in the ensemble of The Wizard of Oz. After performing on the National/International tour of The Wizard of Oz, she hit her 150th performance of The Wizard of Oz on this contract at the Fireside.


Hollyn was in Los Angeles filming a recurring co-star role on Seasick Studio's new TV series Parallel. Parallel is a ½ hour single-cam comedy that asks the question “What would you do if you could change one moment in your life?” Stay tuned for release dates.
